"Lunchtime: A Break Full of Flavors and Conversations" |
In a college, it is a beautiful sight to see students sitting on benches, staircases, or under trees, enjoying their lunch while chatting and laughing with their friends. The housekeeping staff, peons, and other support workers find their own cozy spots in storerooms, corridors, or vacant classrooms to have their meals. Meanwhile, teachers and staff members sit at their desks, eating while discussing their lessons or daily experiences.
The morning rush of waking up, getting ready, commuting to work, and attending meetings ,clients , calls or presentations makes the first half of the day pass quickly. Afternoons are lazy and silent. It is only during lunch that a person truly gets a chance to relax. The joy of opening the tiffin box and peeking into others' meals to see what they have brought is a delightful experience. Phulkas , Sabjis, rice and dal , regional snacks , salad , fruits, sweets and what not on one table!!! A simple saying learned in childhood "Sharing is Caring" is been experienced during the lunch time.More than just food, lunch time is about sharing—sharing meals, happiness, office gossip, and even personal concerns.
For laborers and daily wage workers, lunch time is equally special. After hours of hard work, they find a comfortable spot under a tree, by the roadside, or in any peaceful corner to sit and eat. No matter what is in the tiffin, every bite brings satisfaction and energy. The effort taken in the morning to prepare the meal brings joy in the afternoon. In schools , the bell rang for break time brought the immense pleasure and happiness. Though the lunch bell does not ring through the life but ticking of clock and showing 1:00 clock has the same wave of happiness.
Lunch time is not just about eating; it is about bonding, unwinding, and enjoying a few moments of peace before getting back to work. It is a reminder that amidst the hustle and bustle of life, small breaks can bring immense joy and refresh the mind and body for the rest of the day.
