"First Step, First Success: A Student’s Culinary Triumph"
After the bustling and energetic management event concluded, I had a heartwarming conversation with one of my students. She had set up a food stall serving Ragda Pattice, Veg Bowls, and Pav Bhaji—dishes that not only delighted the taste buds of many but also helped her secure a win in the competition for investment against profit. What struck me most was her success and the journey she shared with me. Her passion for cooking ignited in childhood, but this event marked the first time she had ever served the public. Despite her initial apprehensions, she and her team put in tremendous effort to run the business and make a meaningful profit. The food, I must say, was exceptional. The flavors, presentation, and hospitality all reflected her sincere dedication. She credited her success to God's blessings, her teachers’ encouragement, and the support of her friends. What touched me most was her gesture of returning the investment to her parents, asking them to celebrate her achievement as well. She does not come from a business background, yet she handled every small detail—from purchasing fresh vegetables, arranging utensils to cook the food -in a completely new city for her and undoubtedly sleepless nights. Convincing herself that she could do it was perhaps the biggest hurdle, but taking that first step turned her dream into reality. For me, as an educator, moments like these are priceless—witnessing students bloom, embrace their passions, and share their joy with the world.
Her story will inspire many, and I hope it serves as a reminder to all of us: When passion meets effort, success is not far behind.
